Summary:

  • This highly responsible position contributes to the departmental mission, strategic goals and objectives by providing extensive administrative support to the department chair. Under minimal supervision, this individual will need to use considerable judgment, creativity and analysis in interpreting and implementing procedures which emphasize expediency and responsiveness to effective decision making. Work requires independent judgement and initiative on assignments that are often time sensitive in nature. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities:
•Excellent calendar management skills and demonstrated history of complex scheduling and consistent follow through
•Proactively review the chair’s calendar and manage scheduling conflicts
•Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for reimbursement
•Keep the chair advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up
•Excellent communication and time management skills, proven ability to meet deadlines
•Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and successfully multi-task
•Lead and manage special projects on behalf of the chair as they arise
•Conduct all activities with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism

Skills & Requirements:
•Associate’s Degree Healthcare or related field and 5+ years of high level administrative assistant role
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
•Knowledge of EndNote a plus but not mandatory

Credentials:

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Associate of Arts or Science
    • Healthcare or related field
    • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 5+ years High Level Administrative Assistant Role
