Pennsylvania Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Cardiology team consisting of Cardiologists, Interventionalists and Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.  

We are looking for a dynamic Advanced Practice Provider who will provide individualized, patient centered care for our cardiology patient population and their families. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for the clinical care of patients within a diverse Cardiology Practice, pre and post procedure care. This is clinical cardiology care for interventional patients pre and post procedures in the cath lab, inpatient and outpatient.

The candidate will provide care in collaboration with a interprofessional team and will provide direction in the management of patient care from consultation, through evaluation and intervention, and follow-up care.. As part of their professional role, the Advanced Practice Provider integrates education, research, leadership, and consultation into their clinical practice.

The scope of responsibilities include, but not limited to daily rounds with the team, patient assessment, pre and post-procedural patient care, pre-procedure history and physicals, proctoring exercise and nuclear stress tests, admissions, discharges, performing inpatient consultations, participation in hospital and departmental meetings, team and patient care conferences and coordinating care across the continuum.

The qualified candidate must be either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant with a Masters, current licensure or eligibility in the Commonwealth of PA and eligibility for credentialing by the medical board
