Financial Analyst - Neurosurgery 

3400 Spruce Street (Hybrid)

This position is primarily accountable to Support the Director of Finance Analyze of CPUP/HUP and Perelman School of Medicine financial and administrative data while maintaining day to day accounting operations of Department of Neurosurgery. This will incorporate coordination of the month-end close both UPHS and BEN financials, developing BEN reports to manage grants/endowment/gift funding, Budget reconciliation, and documentation, creation of the Monthly Data Warehouse reports, distribution of the Physician Snapshot Reports, creating Journal entries/reports as needed/requested by the Director of Finance. The incumbent will be expected to assist the Director of Finance as needed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required. (MBA preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years experience in an Accounting/financial reporting position required. 
  • 3+ years experience financial information systems report building. 
  • Astute attention to detail required. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple tasks with deadlines and pressure, adjusting work schedules to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work with standard software packages in a Windows-based environment. 
  • Experience with Lawson, UMIS, Hyperion Planning, Hospital billing and patient management systems, BEN financials and Business Objects required.
