Summary: Operates and manages computer-based Energy Management System (EMS) and other department systems, including, the

building automation system (BAS), pneumatic tube system, fire alarm systems, and other Engineering systems related to the

Life Safety elements of the hospital and outpatient buildings on campus.

For each system, duties would include enters, deletes and modifies monitored points and their set points; establishes and

monitors remote controls for all monitored equipment and conditions; and monitors peak demand, limits controls and modifies,

as required, in association with the health system Energy Manager. This position also assists all shops and capital project teams

in troubleshooting EMS related problems throughout the facility, and with installation of computer hardware and software,

including set-up and trouble shooting.


  • Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required with Completion of a trade and/or vocational school
    • 5+ years experience in Healthcare design, construction or maintenance with some familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
    • Universal CFC license (refrigeration)
    • Bachelor's degree with Any Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Construction, Technology, or similar field of study is preferred
