The Patient Access department at Penn Presbyterian has a Supervisor opportunity.
Position Description:
Responsibilities for the Supervisor position include but are not limited to the following:
Supervising operations and the customer service focus of the Patient Access Department
Supervising Patient Service Associates that perform functions for registration in all Patient Access areas
Overseeing patient access for same day surgical procedures, pre-admission testing, urgent/direct emergency patient admissions, and central registration
Managing admission reservations, personnel, patient registration and cash collections
Coordinating closely with nursing in all areas of admissions check-in activity following approved policies and procedures developed jointly with the PMC nursing and physician executive leadership
Assisting in effective training of new employees and continued education to all employees

Minimum Requirements:
Please apply if you possess these qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent level of education required
College degree preferred
Ability to manage difficult situations required
Excellent communication, customer service, coaching, and consulting skills required
5+ years experience working in a healthcare setting required
Working knowledge of Microsoft office and EMR systems required
Knowledge of third party billing requirements required
