Talent Management Consultant

Summary:

  • Manage and support organizational needs through the development of talent management strategies that align to Penn Medicine's pursuit of an agile workforce. Partner with executive sponsors, chief human resource officers, senior operational leaders and other key stakeholders to identify development needs across the organization. Cultivate a system-wide structure that provides development opportunities focused on clinical and non-clinical employees at individual contributor level. Create programs, tools and resources that enhance an employee's ability to drive value from the front-line to the manager level in support of the organization's mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight for the design and implementation of onboarding for new employees across the system.
  • Design, implement and evaluate programs, tools and resources to meet the just-in-time and professional development needs of the organization to promote the growth of an agile workforce.
  • Lead project teams, capture, organize, communicate ideas and ask questions to move the work forward, providing insight and thoughtful critique as part of a team.
  • Manage multiple initiatives, approaching work in a thoughtful, coordinated way with attention to details.
  • Develop and manage designated budget funds within Penn Medicine Academy, making recommendations to maximize return on investment and ensure overall operations are within budget.
  • Provide individual career coaching as it relates to educational opportunities, mentorship and career progression.
  • Serve as community workforce liaison, matching internal workforce needs with the appropriate external community partner.
  • Garner and grow relationships with educational partners through locally accredited colleges/universities for employees seeking job mobility through degree advancement.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business or Organizational Development.
    • 5+ years experience in training or organizational development, with preferred experience in the healthcare sector and/or service excellence strategy and delivery.
    • Master's Degree preferred, in Business, Organizational Development or other relevant area of study.
    • Certification in any organizational development programs or assessment tools such as MBTI, StrengthFinders (Gallup) Emotional Intelligence, 360 degree feedback preferred.
