Reporting to the Manger of Transportation, the supervisor provides local oversight of the transportation department including supervision of driving staff, implementation of transportation routes, patient transport schedules, and maintenance of vehicles. The supervisor of transportation is part of the driver team, and transports patients to and from outpatient centers.
Required Education and Licenses:
· High school diploma or equivalent – required
· Associate’s degree – preferred
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university – preferred
· Class C CDL with Passenger endorsement or obtained within 120 days of hire required
Required Work Experience:
· Previous stable work record preferably to include driving within a transportation service system.
· A high school diploma and five years’ experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth, OR an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years’ experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth, OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing in employee’s state of residence and a record in good standing with the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and no combination of three moving violations and/or at fault crashes during the previous thirty-six months.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills required; professionalism essential. Also required are a customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Comfortable interacting with clients, ensuring client safety and driving for significant distance and periods of time.
· MS Access – demonstrate an interest and willingness to learn to use application
· MS Excel – demonstrate an interest and willingness to learn to use application
