Job Summary:

  • This position is primarily accountable for preparing journal entries and reports as needed to assist with the month end close, creating and distributing the Faculty Clinical Metric Dashboards, and providing budget support. The incumbent will be expected to assist the Director of Finance and Finance Manager as needed.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field Required (Accounting or Finance) preferred. 
    • Relevant accounting experience (at least 1 year) preferred.

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Great attention to detail required.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple tasks with deadlines and pressure, adjusting work schedules to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work with standard software packages in a Windows-based environment. Experience with Lawson, Hyperion Planning, BEN financials and Business Objects helpful, but not required.
    • Individual must be of sound character, possessing the following traits:
      • Honest and trustworthy – maintains patient, physician, and employee confidentiality at all times, completes all tasks in a reliable manner and to the best of their ability.
      • Hardworking and diligent – willing to work flexible hours to meet department deadlines, utilizes time wisely to accomplish tasks as needed (displays time-management skills).
      • Open-minded – able to accept and give constructive criticism in a respectful and appropriate manner, unafraid to ask task-related questions to ensure negligible amounts of re-work.
      • Respectful – shows respect and consideration towards Directors, supervisors, faculty members, and fellow employees.
      • Willing to learn – accepts unfamiliar tasks with enthusiasm and is eager to assume new responsibilities as needed.
    • Incumbent must possess organizational, computer, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
