SUMMARY:

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is in search of its next Nursing Clinical Director of Perioperative Services and Interventional Radiology.  In this role you will be responsible for:

     • 6 OR's in our Ambulatory Surgery Center

     • 3 Ambulatory Procedure Rooms for Endoscopy at the ASC

     • Pre/Post 

     • 26 OR’s in the Main OR 

     • 3 IP endoscopy rooms 

      • Interventional Radiology

Perioperative services is an exciting, collaborative work environment where we constantly embrace new technology and build staff to accommodate the growing needs of all our services.  We are excited to be expanding our Hybrid room capabilities and our Robotic programs as well as expanding Neurosurgery services.

The Clinical Director will work in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer to provide nursing leadership at the departmental and institutional levels; accountable for ensuring that nursing practice, nursing education, and nursing research are carried out according to acceptable standards. Develops plans to meet the human and material needs of the department and organization on a short and long term basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • 5+ years of progressive nursing experience required with demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • BLS certification (Required)
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal relationships and communication skills. Consistently self-directed and a self-starter, leader and effective facilitator of group dynamics.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively and build consensus around a common vision. Must be able to function effectively under stressful situations and tight deadlines. 
  • Effective management skills including but not limited to communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, work redesign, and policy and procedure documentation. 
  • Demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Knowledge of computer technology and applications.
