Summary:

Will lead system-wide clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives as prioritized by the CMO/CNO Alliance and Operational Leadership. Will manage the system level clinical alliances supported by the Office of the CMO. Position is part of the CEQI project management and analytics team and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. 

Responsibilities:

Lead complex interdepartmental clinical performance improvement projects.

 

Focus on optimal use of clinical information systems for improving patient outcomes and staff workflow.

 

Collaborate with Penn Medicine Academy and CMO/CNO Alliance to ensure key learnings are transferred across the organization.

 

Develop plans for system-wide clinical performance improvement opportunities that are based on priorities identified by the CMO/CNO Alliance as well as entity Executive Director.

 

Provide analytical support and project management to the VP, Quality & Patient Safety and Chief Operating Officer. Administrative processes related to quality and safety functions including data mgt & analysis.

 

Participate in the development of clinical decision support tools that align with clinical performance improvement priorities.


Credentials:

· Master's Degree in a clinical area of study such as nursing, pharmacy, medicine with 7+ years leading complex clinical initiatives

 · Proven quality improvement and project management skills

  · General understanding of population health and risk stratification of disease

 · Demonstrated change leader mentality that introduces new perspectives to find the best solutions and understands how to evaluate effectiveness initiatives

 · Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 · Ability to set priorities, develop action plans, monitor and report on progress

 · Results-oriented with a bias toward action. Maintains high standards for himself/herself and her/his team. Successfully achieves goals and remains persistent through the obstacles

 · Demonstrated analytical and data mining capabilities to synthesize outcome data into meaningful actions

 · Broad understanding of healthcare system functionality and operations

 · Ability to navigate in a complex and highly matrixed organization

 · Must be able to build relationships with all level of providers, staff and leadership

 · Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to convey on key messages in large groups and one-on-one settings
