Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has a Echo Vascular Technologist opportunity.
Position Description:

The individual in this position will be responsible for performing highly skilled, specialized non-invasive echocardiograms and vascular tests used to diagnose cardiovascular abnormalities; including 2-D and M-Mode, Spectral Doppler and color flow Doppler studies in the inpatient/outpatient laboratories, patient rooms, intensive care units, ER and OR, without physician supervision. This position will work with physicians and notify attending of EKG changes, or 2D/Doppler findings requiring immediate action and provide EMR preliminary reports in vascular patient charts. Also, assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms performed under conscious sedation in the laboratory and units and STAT TTE in OR, and perform exercise stress and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.

Minimum Requirements:

H.S. Diploma/GED required

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and registered

or registry eligible Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Must have visual acuity

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Ability to effectively and safely utilize all equipment

Ability to use skilled techniques and equipment operation to ensure accuracy
