The Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join the team! Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center is a world leader in cancer research, patient care and education. Our preeminent position is reflected in our continuous designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) since 1973, one of 47 such centers in the United States.

The Abramson Cancer Center at PPMC has a talented and eclectic team of providers, with support from a dedicated research team, a dedicated phlebotomist, and a dedicated pharmacist. PPMC provides disease specific services focusing on thoracic, GU, and GI cancers. Included in the disease specific services is the Abramson Cancer Center’s Mesothelioma and Pleural Disease Multidisciplinary Clinic.

The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant works in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The inpatient responsibilities include consulting both Benign Heme and Oncology patients. The Hematology/Oncology outpatient clinic responsibilities include evaluating patients in an independent clinic setting as well as supporting the physicians. The CRNP or PA-C is accountable for the continuity of patient care utilizing advanced practice skills and knowledge. Duties encompass clinical practice, consultation, education, and research.

The CRNP or PA-C is self-motivated and conceptually utilizes their comprehensive knowledge base to coordinate clinical activities. Additionally, they assist physicians in maintaining a patient/customer focus, supports the delivery of highest quality care, shares a passion for patient and customer centered care.

This position requires frequent use of independent judgment in a clinical setting in evaluating and treating patients. They work in a collaborative practice setting with a supervising/collaborating physician to care for patients within the Division of Hematology/Oncology.
