Summary:

  • Responsible for coordinating the delivery, setup, and clean up of catered events. Prepares an array of food product to meet aesthetic and taste standards for the catering unit. Responsible for adhering to sanitation standards and organization of work area.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, prepares, and directs the completion of all catering requests. Ensures that all food items prepared for catering functions are of the highest standards and quality. Coordinates the delivery and breakdown of catering events as needed, and ensures that HACCP food safety standards are adhered. Readily brings any noted problems or obstacles directly to manager to seek positive resolution. Readily follows all requirements as outlined by Human Resources of this organization. Adheres to hospital and departmental standards at all times. Attends meetings and staff development programs as scheduled. Works alone or as part of a team completing tasks. Adheres to and enforces all established departmental and health procedures and policies regarding food handling, refrigeration, storage, covering, thawing, labeling and cool down. Maintains proper sanitation procedures for the food production areas. Maintains compliance as stated in established unit standards. Reports any food related production issues to the supervisor. Works alone or Heads a team for completing catering tasks.


    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    Education

    • High School Diploma

    Related Work Experience

    • Prior culinary experience 3-5 years
    • 3-5years of food preparation/ service experience
