The Patient Access Department at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking Insurance Verification Representatives for it's Business Office.
Responsibilities for the Insurance Verification Representative include but are not limited to the following:
Obtaining pre-certification and referrals for inpatient and same day encounters
Verification of benefits and pre-certification of all elective, urgent and emergency admissions
Providing specialized support in the areas of insurance and billing information
Supporting representatives solving problems and answering questions
Ensuring access to integrated healthcare; achieving clinically appropriate authorization to assure optimal reimbursement for the hospital for services provided

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Two years hospital related experience preferred
Knowledge of third party billing preferred
