Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has a manager opening for Behavioral Health Services
Position Description:
Under supervision from the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Program Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Hiring project staff, developing and monitoring Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) engagement protocols and procedures in the ED
Analyzing outcome data for trends and opportunities, and developing a training plan to strengthen clinical services for clinical excellence
Coordinating activities and collaborate with State & City projects.
• Clinical Competency and supervision/oversight
• - Provide senior level clinical expertise in program planning, hiring program staff, developing and monitoring Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS), patient care, and crisis intervention
• - Provide clinical supervision and oversight to Certified Recovery Specialists and other program staff, facilitate team meetings, and provide regular feedback of performance
• - Facilitates good working team relationships and communication between project staff and downtown hospitals
Administrative Functions
• - Monitor CRS activity and assist with keeping engagement & follow-up data. Analyze outcome data for trends and opportunities
• - Perform chart audits to assess staff compliance with documentation requirements and ensure the program remains in compliance
• Performance Improvement
• - Develop and Implement bi-annual reviews of plans and progress in coordination with grant evaluator
• - Coordinate activities and collaborate with State and City projects
• - Oversee issues such as incidents, complaints, length of stay, status at discharge, engagement post discharge, and attendance to ensure best possible treatment outcomes
• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field required
5+ years’ experience in mental health/addictions field and treatment of the program’s patient population required
2+ years Supervisory experience required
PA License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or other independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, PhD, etc.) preferred
Certification in Addictions Counseling strongly preferred
Required Skills
COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated consultative, team building, and group facilitative skills
FINANCE: Strong financial/business acumen
CLINICAL: Knowledge of clinical practice
HUMAN RESOURCES: Demonstrated coaching, counseling, and consultation skills
OPERATIONS: Strong track record of managing people, projects and processes
