Summary: The Pharmacy Technician Trainee is a temporary job title for pharmacy technicians who are hired into any pharmacy area without pharmacy technician certification. A pharmacy technician hired into this role must become certified within 6 months of hire in order to continue employment and move into a permanent pharmacy technician role. (Retail Pharmacy - Philadelphia, PA)

Responsibilities: Stock and restock medications. Triage phone calls appropriately. Fill medication prescriptions. Deliver medications to assigned areas. Regularly rotate medication stock and check for expired medications. Run cash register and dispense prescriptions to patients. Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Requirements: H.S. Diploma/GED And A minimum of 6 months of Pharmacy Experience. Must obtain Pharmacy Tech certification within 6 months of hire date.
