Nurse Extern for our Summer 2023 program

We are excited to announce we are taking applications for our Summer 2023 Nurse Extern Program! You must be in your junior to senior year of an accredited BSN prepared nursing program.

The Nurse Extern is a participant in an 8 week summer program for nursing students. The nurse extern program is designed to provide the nursing student with an opportunity to strengthen and reinforce his or her knowledge and skill in the practice of nursing under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor and ease the transition of the realities of the work world. The nurse extern will follow his or her preceptor’s work schedule and will care for that nurse’s patients.

Minimum requirements:

1. The qualified candidate must be a nursing student and have completed a minimum of 1 clinical nursing course in an accredited baccalaureate school of nursing.
2. You must have current CPR certification.
3. You must have completed 1 clinical rotation
4. Your GPA is 3.0 or greater
5. You are available for the entire 8 week program. Dates to be provided shortly
