Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Summary: Provides outpatient psychiatric services to a chronically mentally ill adult consumer population.
Responsibilities: Full time position providing both Individual Adult Psychotherapy and Case Management Services to Adults with behavioral health needs in an outpatient setting. Functions as a staff therapist providing weekly clinical psychotherapy to individuals and also functions as a member of a treatment team in the Adult Medication Clinics by working directly with a Psychiatrist or CRNP in supporting and managing clients who receive psychopharmacology services.
Must have the ability to work with clients with severe behavioral health diagnosis. In addition to having the ability to provide weekly psychotherapy services must also have the ability to organize and manage client medication clinics, work effectively as a team with treating psychiatrist, respond effectively to changes in client level of functioning, interface effectively with clients with changing demands and needs. Have knowledge of resources available to assist client needs and to make appropriate referrals and proper follow-up. Ability to remain current with all required paperwork and treatment planning.
Credentials: Pennsylvania licensed mental health clinician, including Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).
Education or Equivalent Experience: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy in addition to required core behavioral health coursework with a minimum of three years’ clinical experience in an adult outpatient setting.
