Summary: 

The Division of Sleep Medicine is seeking candidates for a psychologist position. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or PsyD, demonstrated excellent qualifications in Clinical Care, and experience in Behavioral Sleep Medicine and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. Candidates must have a clinical license in Pennsylvania (or be eligible for such a license). PsyPact credentialing is a plus. Additional training in Behavioral Sleep Medicine can be provided. Research experience is desirable but not required.  

The Psychologist will provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) in clinical settings and via telehealth. Provision of services shall include consultation with other clinicians in the Penn Center for Sleep. This holder of this position will provide direct clinical care to patients and liaise with Nurse Practitioners & MD’s to provide CBT-I treatment.  

Credentials:

  • Active license to practice psychology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, necessary continuing education
    credits to maintain licensure in psychology, credentials to practice psychotherapy.
  •  Successfully credentialed by the University of Pennsylvania, Office of Medical Affairs prior to hire date
  • State of PA background clearance (PATCH report)
  •  If applicable, fingerprinting & FBI clearance if residing outside of the state of Pennsylvania, or if residency in PA
    is less than two years.


Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  •  Two years post-graduate experience in providing psychotherapy 

Skill Requirements:

  •  Experience in performing individual psychotherapy in a demographically diverse population of psychiatric outpatients.
  • Ability to manage delivery of clinical care services in an efficient and effective manner
