  • Reporting to the Radiology Financial Clearance Manager, this position develops, maintains and delivers training and quality assurance programs for the Radiology Pre- Registration areas including Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, Account Resolution, and also acts as support to the Penn Chart Radiology Training program. Must successfully achieve and maintain certifications for all Radiology courses, and will present updated developed Penn Chart training material. This role will also provide support and is the first point of contact for the Pre- Reg Specialists, workflow and system issues. In conjunction with the supervisor, assists in the development and implementation of appropriate policies and workflows. The Radiology Lead Pre- Reg Specialist is the first point of contact for any escalated patient concerns and will involve other leadership as needed for appropriate resolution.


  • Monitor a training and quality insurance program to meet desired outcomes for the Radiology Pre-Reg department
  • Act as a Liaison with vendor relationships. This position will assume the backup responsibility as the point of contact for the processing and tracking, quality assurance, and assisting difficult cases.
  • Assist the Supervisor of Radiology Financial Clearance with the daily operations of the Pre-Reg team’s division within the HUP/CPUP Revenue Cycle Department; acts as lead in absence of the Supervisor
  • Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs; responds to and resolves/escalates employee relations issues expressed by team members
  • Provides on-going training for all staff on process and procedure changes and conducts audits of work quality to assist in the development of performance-based training plans.
  • Identifies, implements and leads measurable process improvement initiatives; coordinates with management to ensure results are met and sustained; leads service improvement initiatives
  • Maintains high level of proficiency in all aspects of the Radiology Pre- registration workflow and serves as a float support position as directed


    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor of Arts or Science
    • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 3+ years Healthcare registration, pre-registration or financial clearance
