Summary:
- The Materials Service Partners is responsible supporting the Perioperative Services Department by supporting in the setting-up and stocking of the Operating Rooms for surgical procedures being performed throughout the day. Primary responsibilities of the Materials Service Partners will be inventory and order replenishment of non-stock inventory items assigned to them throughout various surgical areas, picking of supplies for all OR cases scheduled for next day procedures, communicating to materials management critical shortages of items stocked by materials management and submitting requests to order those items and additional stock items that are needed.
- The Materials Service Partners will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of surgical case carts to designated surgical areas/Operating Rooms and to designated Central Processing locations following procedures for decontamination.
Responsibilities:
- Picks supplemental and surgical supply requests from supply storage rooms for all procedures and procedural areas
- Communicates items that are out of stock and returns unused items back to designated areas for redistribution
- Verifies the accuracy of the cases and fills any gaps that may be there
- Communicates the delivery of case carts with the appropriate staff
- Displays adequate communication skills
- Demonstrates courtesy and respect for patients, visitors and employees to fulfill service mission
- Anticipates customers’ needs and or concerns by asking if they need assistance
- Utilizes PPE when appropriate
Credentials:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
