  • 1. Inspects, tests, and operates electrical power circuits.
  • 2. Installs new circuits and a wide variety of electrical equipment and appliances.


  • Cleans, repairs or replaces motors and motor starters as conditions warrant.
  • Checks and maintains emergency power generator equipment.
  • Maintains documents and logs on various electrical equipment per code regulations as directed by supervisor.
  • Knowledge of all electrical related codes and standards.
  • Uses effective interpersonal skills in all interactions.
  • Performs duties and exhibits behaviors consistent with care philosophy of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Extensive experience repairing and/or replacing single and polyphase wiring system including transformers, generators and electrical distribution systems and repairing and operating high voltage switchgear and emergency generators Licensed electrician preferred

Location: Pennsylvania Hospital - 800 Spruce Street
