Summary:

Repair and maintenance of all HVAC air handling and chiller plant equipment such as thermostats, motors, compressors, motor starters and controls, heat exchangers, steam traps, coils, dampers, and all drive accessories including refrigerators, ice machines pumps, pneumatics and knowledge of Building Automation Systems.

  1. Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems using schematic, diagrams and/or blueprints.
  2. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as required.

    Responsibilities:

    Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Working knowledge and ability to operate manual and power tools required for his/her job responsibilities.

      Credentials:

      CFC Recovery Certification required

        Education or Equivalent Experience:

        Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems as they apply to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Thorough knowledge of the theory and operation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Proven communication skills and ability to interact with patients and hospital personnel. Prior hospital experience and completion of a trade or vocational school preferred.
