The Lead Technologist for the Interventional Radiology Department will assist the Manager with the operations at HUP and PCAM. This includes PCAM IR, IR Ground Dulles and IR Ground Founders. With guidance from the Manager, the Lead Technologist will assume a leadership role to reflect the needs of our patients and the department. The Lead is expected to operate all Interventional Radiology equipment, be an advocate for Patient Safety and Quality and instrumental in keeping Interventional Radiology inspection ready at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Manages daily operations of the department, that includes staffing, inventory, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Supervision of staff/ and or work in the IR on occasion
- Efficient and smooth flow of work
- Inventory and budget management
- Scheduling radiology procedures when necessary
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Active communication with IR docs
- Staff education
Minimum Requirements:
- ARRT eligible and registered within one year of hire date
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) and satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program required.
- 2+ years At least two years in Radiology preferred w/Interventional Radiology Experience.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred
