Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Department of Radiation / Oncology specializing in the (Central Nervous System) is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their practice.
Promote to delivery of high quality, evidenced based, efficient, and safe patient care in a fiscally feasible and transparent manner to a high volume patient population with a variety of acute and chronic supportive care needs. Facilitate the ability for individual providers and site team to meet a variety of productivity, quality, and academic metrics.
The APP will participate in the clinical management of patients requiring or being considered for radiotherapy, definitive or palliative. This includes on treatment evaluation and supportive care as well as ongoing follow-up/survivorship care.
Independent visits:
Inspection visits
Follow up/survivorship visits
Ad hoc OTVs
Dyad/Shared Visits benefiting from APP involvement for complex symptom management, needs/symptoms for which they would benefit from APP involvement/expertise. Includes:
OTVS
Consults
Follow Up/Re-Consults
Attendance at appropriate conferences (department, health system). Includes:
Disease site case conference
Disease site specific chart rounds
Departmental conferences: grand rounds, M & M
APP conferences in health system as appropriate
Participation and/or leadership of site team clinical initiatives including process improvement initiatives and development and implementation of supportive care standards.
Departmental or health system committee participation recommended after one year of employment.
AOCNP certification strongly encourage after one year of employment, if applicable
Summary:
All CRNPs/PA-C function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The CRNP/PAs will be held accountable through a formal job description, delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician and a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee and within the Human Resource guidelines.
