Summary:  The Mechanic / Plumber is responsible for the repair and overhauling of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, kitchen appliances, etc. Repairs and maintains all plumbing fixtures and must have the ability to operate all types of sanitary drain machines.

    Responsibilities: Includes working holidays and weekends.

      Education or Equivalent Experience:  High school diploma or GED required. Extensive experience performing general maintenance duties. General knowledge of mechanical and plumbing maintenance. Demonstrated communication skills and ability to deal effectively with hospital personnel, patients and visitors. Prior hospital experience preferred. Completion of a trade and/or vocational school preferred. Welding experience preferred. Plumbing experience preferred.

      Location: Pennsylvania Hospital - 800 Spruce Street
