Position Description:
The Security Operations Manager, (SOM) will be responsible for 24/7 operational oversight providing leadership and expertise of the management of Ambulatory operational sites and the Ambassador Program. This will include staffing, budgeting, performance reviews, and assessing vulnerabilities, key technologies, and incident tracking and response. SOM will support the Security Director in the oversight/management of all contract company staffing. Development of well-defined policies and procedures related to security ambulatory/ambassador operations will be a core responsibility of this position, including change control, monitoring, response, and reporting procedures. This position will develop and generate management reporting and detailed metrics to support and demonstrate continuous improvement of customer service, incident detection, response, and recovery. The Operations Manager will back up the Security Director in their absence.
Responsibilities:
24/7 management and leadership of security operations team, (ambulatory sites/ambassadors); including staffing plan, contract companies, property owners, (for leased space), security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, customer service performance, and reporting
Development and enhancement of security operations procedures and workflows at ambulatory campus and ambassador program.
Conducts routine and sensitive security investigations as well as coordinates investigations with Risk Management., Legal Affairs, Department Heads Penn Public Safety, and local, state and/or federal law enforcement agencies.
Compile data analytics and reporting of security and ambassador operations, including threat indicators, vulnerabilities, incident response metrics, customer service metrics, staffing plans, etc. for the PPMC and ambulatory campuses/ambassador program and disseminate reports as appropriate. This is to include annual security assessment for the PPMC and ambulatory campuses. As needed Operations Director will coordinate and work collaboratively Security Technology Director, (STD) on security measures.
Coordinate with STD and appropriate vendors the investigation, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic security measures, including CCTV, weapon detection, visitor registration and electronic access control systems.
Safety Duties: Work with Security Director to maintain Dispatch Center readiness as the Incident Commander during Command Center activations. Provide orientation (Security, Fire Safety and Emergency Management, etc.) for newly hired staff as well as support the coordination of Active Shooter in-service training to high risk and special request departments. Support the coordination of emergency management drills, this includes but not limited to evacuation and fire drills. Monitors security process for Rapid Responses and EMS arrivals for emergency transports.
Support the STM in the Coordination of Badge Center responsibilities at PPMC and ambulatory campus.
Responsible for the ambulatory campus and Ambassador program at PPMC with daily administrative functions.
Minimum Requirements:
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) and 10+ years Healthcare industry experience required
OR a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of of Public Safety experience can be considered in place of 10 years healthcare experience
C-CURE Access Control Certification preferred
