Summary:
- This position will have two primary areas of responsibility: Sterilization and processing as well as large instrument purchasing.
- Certification as a registered Central Service Technician with experience in steam sterilizers, gas sterilizers, washer decontaminators, surgical instruments, biological incubators. Process wide range of instrumentation in a busy CPD department.
- Assist the department manager in all aspects of Materials Management at PMRH. Lead large instrument purchase project and tray assembly for same project. Use Lawson to track orders to receipt and report on back orders and instrumentation delivery due dates.
Responsibilities:
- 50% of time dedicated to processing trays in busy CPD department with special focus on general, orthopedic and ophthalmic instrumentation.
- Assists in supply support of the PeriOp team when required
- Assist in the procurement of a large volume instrument purchase for special project.
- Assemble trays for special project
- Experienced with Instrument Tracking systems
- Self-motivated with only some management assistance.
Credentials:
- Certified CPD Technician: Certified Central Sterile Technician or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- 1 year sterilization experience in a hospital setting.
