Summary:

  • The Financial Analyst at Penn Medicine Princeton Health maintains, analyzes, updates & reports financial information for PMPH towards the goal of managing entity P&L's (Profit & Loss) and the creation of annual budgets. This position also assists the Finance department with projects, reporting, and overall financial support.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the monthly close process including journal entries, variance analysis and close meeting presentation. Analyze expense trends for irregularities or timeliness of accruals that may impact the close and propose financial adjustments.
  • Prepares and maintains cash reconciliation, gross charge reconciliation, bank reconciliation and account analysis as requested.
  • Meets with assigned budget holder leaders to create operating expense budgets, as well as lead annual budget meetings with senior leadership to present proposed working budgets.
  • Provides support and training for financial systems such as Lawson LBI to assigned Liaison Departments and provides analytical services, including ad hoc reports/requests.
  • Maintains external report checklist and prepare submissions of these reports for items such as FAST reporting, etc. as required.
  • Prepares and distributes statistic information as needed.
  • Leads the creation and processing of various weekly, monthly and quarterly bank wires as required.
  • Attend finance/organizational meetings as required and participates on committees as requested.
  • Makes recommendations on process improvements in order to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assists in the preparation of cost reports, 990 and statutory report and other annual audits as required.
  • Assists supervisor with ad hoc reporting requests as necessary.
  • Maintains standards of confidentiality.


    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
    • 2+ years related work experience
