Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is looking for a PRN Pharmacy Technician!
Under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Assisting in the preparing and filling of medication orders and medication carts
Compounding sterile and non-sterile preparation
Distributing medication to patients; performing nursing unit QA inspections
Performing of environmental tasks
Maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital.
Minimum Requirements:
The ability to perform dosage calculations required Effective communication skills with all levels of hospital personnel required
Aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet required Satisfactorily passing of hospital and government validation examinations required
College and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
Credentials:
Cert Pharmacy Technician (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
HS Diploma or equivalent
