The Endocrine Nurse Practitioner functions as part of a nationally recognized team of academic endocrinologists and will be given considerable autonomy to provide high-quality care in the management of patients with general endocrine and neuro-endocrine disorders in the outpatient setting.
The Nurse Practitioner will focus the management and follow up care for patients with conditions of varying complexity and will work closely with the allied specialties across Penn (Oncology, Endocrine Surgery, Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, etc.) to facilitate multidisciplinary care.
Our Division promotes a culture of education and is supportive of individual professional growth and interests. The Nurse Practitioner will be provided opportunities participate in the scholarly activities and practice improvement initiatives within the division. Full time day shift only. No weekends or holidays
All nurse practitioners function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body.
The CRNP hired by the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism will be held accountable through a formal job description, through the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physicians who have initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement.
