Provides administrative supportfor the Emergency Department Nursing Leadership.Responsibilities include preparingreports, maintainingand reconcilingdata, customer relations, ordering equipment and supplies, scheduling, and timekeeping. This positioncalls for excellent interpersonaland computer skillsand the ability to work well withother areas of the hospital,all levels of management,and staff. Will exercise independent judgment,have strong attention to detail,and critical thinking in performing tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as liaison for the Emergency Department by providing excellent customer service including professional telephone etiquette. | |
Maintains databases and files for the Emergency Department Leadership. | |
Serves as liaison to Health Information Management Services. | |
Facilitates requests from other departments or outside agencies. | |
Prepares presentations, reports, meeting materials, and meeting minutes. | |
Facilitates compliance with employee responsibilities. | |
Prepare purchase orders for supplies and prepare check requests. | |
Assists with schedule development and management as needed. | |
Makes schedule changes and schedule exceptions as needed. | |
Performs verification of time for managers and directors as needed. | |
Assists with learning management administration tasks ( i.e. creating classes, updating rosters and updating class participation). | |

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization. |
Education Training and Experience
H.S. Diploma/GED, required
Associate's Degree or 5 years’ experience in health care environment, preferred
Bachelor's Degree, preferred
