Corporate HR Operations and Project Coordinator

Summary:
The Human Resources Operations and Project Coordinator is responsible for working alongside the Human Resources leadership team to execute on various initiatives and projects of varying complexity that have impact across Penn Medicine workforce. The role will fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks and will take the lead on preparing materials for a range of projects including but not limited to presentations, communications, data, etc. The work will be accomplished using a variety of systems and platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Provides project management support to ensure the timely execution of major programmatic initiatives.
- Using project management tools and methodologies, provides a disciplined focus on tracking and monitoring key HR business initiatives.
- Facilitates communication with Penn Medicine stakeholders to introduce projects and coordinate implementation.
- Assist with researching, designing, and implementing initiatives and projects using best practices.
- Supports HR colleagues in planning and implementing change initiatives that support organization direction.
- Provides technical support in the development and presentation of spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and other materials.
- Provides support in the review, development or revision of Human Resources forms and other materials.
- Represents HR in assigned meetings and facilitates meetings as appropriate to identify, clarify and resolve problems or business challenges.
- Ensures that quality, timely, relevant reports are developed and distributed.
- Works collaboratively with HR Leadership team to develop and monitor operational calendar for HR corporate initiatives that support the following corporate functions - HR operations, benefits, retirement, compensation and employee relations culture and policy.
- Participates in a variety of process improvement reviews and provides technical support through the development of flow charts, excel spreadsheets, etc.
- In collaboration with HR colleagues, supports system-wide employee initiatives to include the employee engagement and other surveys. Pulls, analyzes, and distributes data as necessary.
- Assists with Special Projects as assigned.
- Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine values, policies, and practices.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- 3+ years program or project management experience or administrative responsibilities in human resources required.
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word required.
- Ability to learn new technical skills, applications, and processes required.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external constituents required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills required.
- Experience with Project Management tools and methods preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency to manage complex data set preferred.
