The Colorectal Surgery Service at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their inpatient team of board certified colorectal surgeons. The Colorectal Surgery team at PPMC is part of the Department of Surgery and provides care to patients undergoing surgery for benign and malignant processes of the colon, rectum and anus. The APP will provide quality care across the continuum in collaboration with collaborating/supervising physicians, surgical residents, APPs, nursing staff, and other members of the care team. Further, the APP will be expected to manage patient care autonomously within the scope of their professional practice, as well as to play a key role in optimizing patient care protocols. Numerous opportunities for professional growth and development exist and are encouraged through research, lecturing, and precepting, as well as through departmental and hospital projects and committees.
