Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is a renowned center for cardiac care and ophthalmology. PPMC’s campus includes the Musculoskeletal Center’s outpatient facility at Penn Medicine University City and the Pavilion for Advanced Care, which is home to Penn Medicine’s Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center. PPMC is seeking an OR Inventory Processor II to support our OR department. Oversee and direct the daily operations of the assigned area. Responsible for assigning jobs duties, inventory management, ordering of stock and non-stock items.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains accurate and adequate inventory levels for operating room
  • Distributes inventory usage reports as requested by Manager of O.R. Materials Management, Director of Materials
  • Management, Director of Nursing and OR Nurse Manager.
  • Establishes and maintains a professional rapport with the OR Staff, Coordinators, and internal & external customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining storeroom organization and neatness within JCAHO and all other regulatory regulations for compliance requirements.
  • Rotate stock and insure that no expired products are present.
  • Assists (who & how) in maintaining Tissue Tracking Log, Total Inventory Value and Cycle Count Records.
  • Participates in Entity and Department wide initiatives for Patient /Employee safety
  • Demonstrates an awareness of patient/ employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities of their position
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Plus 3 years of experience required
