Patient Accounting Quality Assurance Analyst

Summary:

This position is responsible for conducting a quality review of all registration workflows, internal process review and reporting quality assurance results. This position also conducts research as required to support audit exceptions and resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to calls received through the queue line, email requests, fax requests and Athena tickets in a timely, professional and thorough manner. Provide feedback / guidance and follow up as necessary.
  • Evaluate coverage accuracy.
  • Evaluate Registration Data entry.
  • Identify monthly top 10 registration errors and identify entities/departments where errors occur.
  • Identify errors and Communicate with End Users to fix errors.
  • Run QA reports. 

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S./GED required.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in Hospital Registration and Insurance required.
  • 2+ years experience in Quality Assurance preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiar with standard healthcare quality concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with little direction.      
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
