Summary:

  • Performs Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Basic Quality Assurance for Mammography units and processor. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality diagnostics images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Performs needle localization.
  • Performs stereotactic breast biopsies, screening and diagnostic mammograms.
  • Monitors and maintains equipment.
  • Assists with maintaining records per department protocols and State, Federal and MQSA regulatory requirements.

Credentials:

  • Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
  • Radiologic Technologist (Required)
  • Mammography Certification preferred (must obtain Mammography Certification within the first six months of hire)
  • BLS Certification with in the first six months of hire date

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • High school or GED graduate
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology Technology
