Summary:

  • The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst performs analysis of financial and statistical data related to revenue cycle; creation, analysis, and distribution of reports surrounding all Revenue Cycle functions and Key Performance Indicators. The role leads the activities of the Revenue Cycle analysts and reports to the Manager of Revenue Cycle Operations.
  • The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst provides leadership and training to analysts and practice staff, coordinates the resolution of HB and PB Map's related WQ issues, identifies areas of improvement and education opportunities. Works with leadership to support issues related to Registration, Charge Capture, Billing, Charge Correction and Revenue Cycle Workflow Assessments.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to revenue cycle leaders and other key stakeholder

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all efforts of the team ultimately meet practice goals
  • Monitors all charge/revenue related work queues to ensure resolution of accounts are occurring in a timely manner.
  • Evaluates outstanding work and directs team members to ensure efficient and timely resolution
  • Conducts interactions with internal customers in an organized and professional manner
  • Creates a culture collaboration by delivering timely and trustworthy solutions and training.
  • Leads support for WQ analytics as needed
  • Analyzes and reports variances for a variety of Revenue Cycle functions
  • Leadership of team
  • Under the direction of the Manager of Revenue Cycle, leads analyst daily productivity and projects
  • Holds team accountable to identified performance measures
  • Acts as a project lead for revenue cycle/operational improvement projects and activities
  • Is action oriented and strives to achieve desired outcomes on schedule
  • Support and manage entity goals and initiatives
  • Provides feedback to the Manager on team member performance to support annual performance reviews
  • Participates in entity and department wide initiatives for patient/employee safety
  • Demonstrates an awareness of patient/employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities
  • Maintains team awareness of the importance of privacy when working with various data sources
  • Communications
  • Conducts effective interviews to support problem solving and solution development
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance and expertise
  • Recommends thorough analysis, solutions of revenue cycle problems
  • Determines the most effective communications for each situation
  • Presents findings and recommendations in a clear, concise manner
  • Relationship Management
  • Establishes strong working relationships with Revenue Cycle Leaders and Staff
  • Establishes credibility by providing value-add services to assigned groups
  • Work with various partners such as SDS, IS, Data Science, etc across the system to design, develop, and maintain various reporting capabilities.
  • Follow-up with Revenue Cycle teams and the Divisions to ensure adherence to policies and their effect on metrics
  • Workforce Planning
  • Partners with the Manager to recruit competent, service orientated staff
  • Provides on-going, fair, and consistent feedback
  • Stays Current with industry standards, rules and regulations affecting reimbursement and revenue cycle

Credentials:

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
    • 5+ years Revenue cycle experience AAHAM or HFMA Certification preferred
    • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 9+ years Progressive revenue cycle experience AAHAM or HFMA Certification
