Neurology


Performs all technical aspects involved in all aspects of intra-operative monitoring including but not limited to: EEG, Evoked Potential, Motor Mapping, EMG and TcMEP studies. Provides information to patients regarding neuromonitoring to ensure understanding and minimize anxiety. Abstract relevant information to Clinical Director and Medical Staff of all pertinent information and changes to ensure the highest quality of care to patients. Providing technical neuromonitoring to the departments of Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Cardiothoracic surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Oral/Maxillofacial, Orthopedic surgery, Trauma and Neuroradiology.

H.S. Diploma/GED, required.  Associate's Degree , preferred.  Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP)accredited Neurodiagnostic Program Or Minimum of 2 years' experience as a technologist in the field of Neurodiagnostic technology, required.  BLS Certified, required.  Registry in EEG or Registry in EP by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potentials Technologist (ABRET) or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (RNCST) or RET ( Canadian EEG registry) preferred.
