Coordinates activities and events relating to the ACGME accredited Fellowship Programs as well as the non-ACGME fellowship programs, including making sure all compliance related issues are met, recruitment interviews, placement, rotation schedule, evaluations, meetings and program marketing. Performs duties of an administrative coordinator for the Director of Pain Medicine and the fellowship director for 4 fellows. Responsibilities include managing academic and clinical calendars, arranging travel, handling reimbursements, performing literature searches, coordinating aspects of fellowship programs, preparing Power Point presentations and other assigned duties. Attend meetings and prepare minutes. Assist manager with some administrative duties.
Skill Requirements:
Appointment scheduling, phone etiquette, typing, transcription.

Maintain complete confidentiality of all faculty and application information as well as Department information.
Appropriate multi-tasking - organize and accomplish multiple tasks despite the typical interruptions that are inherent in busy clinical practice.
Integrate themselves within faculty, being a team player and supporting over all goals of the team.
Accuracy and reliability - basic booking ability and utilization of Excel. Scheduling of providers is critical as this impacts finances, patient care and operating room efficiency. Review of application info and scheduling of interviews.
Communication - needs to be outgoing to ensure communication with faculty when questions arise. Must be accessible by all faculty.
Independence- Must follow up and complete items that have issues that prevent immediate completion without reminders.
Excel skills at least top the level of using templates. PowerPoint knowledge.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Demonstrates communication, confidentiality, and organization skills; minimum 5 years in a secretarial role in an academic or medical practice.
