Functions as part of team providing diagnostic and social-service evaluations, emergency treatment, crisis intervention, insurance verification and authorization and referral services to individuals contacting Crisis Response Center for mental health or substance abuse related services. As a Crisis Clinician provides clinical services under the supervision of and in close consultation with a clinical supervisor and/or supervising physician.
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, nursing, counseling, education or a related field; OR High school diploma or GED and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other social science and 2 years of experience in public or private human services with 1 year of mental health direct care experience. CPR required.
