The Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has a Nurse Supervisor opportunity.

Position Description:

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides oversite for the clinical operations of Penn Presbyterian Infusion Suite and the PPMC Hematology Oncology Clinic. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will help to support the Associate Clinical Director, Medical Director and multidisciplinary team in fulfilling the mission of PPMC and UPHS.

Under the direction of the Associate Clinical Director, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
o Developing and maintaining written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organizational plan, and a quality assurance program for the nursing service. All nursing policies and procedures shall be reviewed at least annually.
o Participating in the planning and budgeting for the nursing services.
o Coordinating and integrating nursing services with other patient care services to provide a continuum of care for the patient.
o Ensuring that nursing staffing patterns are implemented.
o Assisting in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for nursing personnel, and assigning duties based upon education, training, competencies, and job descriptions.
o Participating in staff orientation and staff education activities.

Responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of nursing services provided to patients.
Assists the Associate Clinical Director in maintaining a patient/customer focus, supports the delivery of highest quality care, ensures patient and customer centered care, and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial and operational targets.
Onsite lead for infection prevention and control program and quality assurance.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in nursing
1+ years' experience in nursing supervision and/or nursing administration in a licensed health care facility preferred
Active PA Nursing License in good standing
Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Cert
AHA CPR
