Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Penn Presbyterian Medical Center Department of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to assume the role of their Clinical Coordinator role. The Clinical Coordinator, APP will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations for the Hematology/Oncology practice.
The Clinical Coordinator, APP ensures compliance with TJC, CMS and DOH requirements across all sites of care. The Clinical Coordinator, APP oversees infection control standards are upheld and participates in EOC rounding as indicated.
The Clinical Coordinator, APP will communicate new processes, assist with coverage plans for unexpected needs and act as the subject matter expert for clinical questions and EHR optimization. The Clinical Coordinator, APP will assist with hiring on-boarding and orientation of new clinical staff, complete clinical competencies and evaluations.
The Clinical Coordinator will directly and indirectly manage APPs in addition to individual clinical responsibilities, the Clinical Coordinator will have responsibility for staffing models, scheduling, professional development, operational processes, and quality improvement.
Typical scope for this role is:
Less than 10 staff directly and indirectly managed
Less than 15,000 budgeted annual visits
The Complexity Factors (may involve a few of the following factors of practice complexity):
multiple practice locations, high practice/facility square footage, service line oversight, coordination of inpatient services, coordination of care across several departments/entities, academic involvement (research initiatives, resident program), special clinical programs, multiple clinical specialties, complex regulatory requirements, management of external partnerships/collaborations.
Minimum Requirements:
·Master's Degree in Nursing and a minimum of 2+ years nurse practitioner experience.
·Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
·BLS/ACLS/PALS per specialty
·Board certification in area of specialty.
