Provides quality participant care through implementing and supervising the physical exercise program in conjunction with the Cardiopulmonary Rehab nursing and respiratory staff. Demonstrates clinical knowledge in physical assessment, case management, and the process of healthcare management. Performs high quality Cardiology testing. Provides clerical support and supplements program with expert knowledge. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of The Chester County Hospital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Treatment of the Cardiopulmonary patient in the monitored exercise setting.
Reviewing education, medications, doctor’s communications and processing the chart needs and paperwork to meet standards.
Case Management.
Clerical support.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to identify problems and resolve them using a systems approach.
Ability to utilize Hospital approved equipment.
Additional skills in providing specialized cardiac services in Non Invasive Cardiology, like CV testing (holding and responding to Code pager, stress testing, holter monitors) .
Education Training and Experience
BS Degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in fitness and exercise. Specialized education or certification in cardiopulmonary clinical area or MS in Cardiopulmonary Rehab preferred. ACLS certification required.
