Schedule is as follows: 36 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday
Summary of Repsonsibilities:
Assists Radiology Manager/Supervisor in the day to day technical operation of the department in an efficient and cost effective manner. The lead tech will work collaboratively with the Radiology Manager, medical staff, and administration to ensure that quality patient care is delivered. Actively supervise the quality of care delivered to patients and participates in departmental QC and performance improvement activities. Follows physician's orders precisely, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure and conform to regulations concerning the use of radiation to protect themselves and their patients from unnecessary exposure.
a)Maintains and provides annual registry certification from ARRT, maintain all mandatory in-services and CPR as required by TJC.
b)Communicate equipment problems and image quality issues.
c)Serve as liaison with referring physicians and technologist to assist in scheduling exams
d)Prepare 3D lab, maintain cleanliness of area.
e)Archive and verify radiology and radiation oncology images via the EHS system call Pennchart as needed.
f)Perform proper procedures and protocols for various studies
g)Read all staff notes; attend section and quarterly meetings; keep abreast of all changes within the Department.

i)Reports any injury directly related to off-site work immediately to management, and provide UPHS reasonable access to the workspace, if necessary, to conduct accident investigation or job-site evaluation.
j) Follows UPHS and Radiology policies, procedures and instructions that would apply if the employee were working on-site, including vaccination and TB testing policies.
k)Ensures confidentiality of patient information and security of equipment to prevent damage
l) Provides required electrical outlets and pays for required electrical service and high-speed Internet service necessary to work off-site. The minimum connection speed required is 20Mbps
