Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Interventional Radiology Team at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. The IR service provides care to both inpatients and ambulatory patients. Patient population includes adult patients with varying acuity from acute trauma and illness to chronic illnesses as well as ambulatory patients undergoing elective interventions. Common procedures that our interventionists perform includeendovascular intervention for peripheral arterial disease, deep and superficial venous insufficiency, cancer directed therapy, prostate artery embolization, uterine artery embolization and hemodialysis access interventions. The NP/PA will have the opportunity to perform select procedures including central venous device insertions, thora/paracentesis, and image-guided biopsy.
The NP/PA is responsible for assessment and evaluation of all outpatient new visits and follow up appointments as well as consults and rounding on inpatients. The APP is also an integral member of care coordination including triage of patients and consults working in collaboration with the interventionists, providers, nursing, and other members of the care team.
