The Interventional Radiology Team at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. The IR service provides care to both inpatients and ambulatory patients. Patient population includes adult patients with varying acuity from acute trauma and illness to chronic illnesses as well as ambulatory patients undergoing elective interventions. Common procedures that our interventionists perform includeendovascular intervention for peripheral arterial disease, deep and superficial venous insufficiency, cancer directed therapy, prostate artery embolization, uterine artery embolization and hemodialysis access interventions. The NP/PA will have the opportunity to perform select procedures including central venous device insertions, thora/paracentesis, and image-guided biopsy. 

  The NP/PA is responsible for assessment and evaluation of all outpatient new visits and follow up appointments as well as consults and rounding on inpatients. The APP is also an integral member of care coordination including triage of patients and consults working in collaboration with the interventionists, providers, nursing, and other members of the care team.

  As a provider, you will be committed to delivering high quality and safe patient care. You will have the ability to coordinate multiple aspects of the patient's care at a high level of independence. 

Credentials:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • ACLS (For providers in the acute care setting) required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting) required.
  • Certified Nurse PractitionerPA (Required)
  • PA and/or NJ CRNP licensure (CRNP) required.
  • Prescriptive Authority (Required)
  • PA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority required.
  • Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
  • PA and/or NJ RN licensure (RN) required. National Board Certification.
