The Department of the Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time HVAC Supervisor:
Summary:
- Supervises Multi-Skilled Crafts – HVAC and Refrigeration Mechanics
- Schedules maintenance work with staff, monitoring work for completeness and efficiency
- Completes proper paperwork to order / approve material for the work to be done
- Completes proper paperwork to track maintenance work order costs
- Works with other craft / zone supervisors to ensure work efficiency
- Determines need for outside services, monitoring services to ensure cost control
- Performs administrative duties concerning employee attendance and timekeeping
- Evaluates, orders and coordinates the installation and repairs / service of H.V.A.C. boilers, chillers, large tonnage DX systems and other building equipment
Credentials:
- Must have a Philadelphia Class “A” License (Required)
- CHFM, CHC certification (Preferred)
- Membership with ASHE, HFMADV NFPA (Preferred)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Associate of Arts or Science (Preferred)
- Prior supervisor experience with building maintenance (Required)
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in operations and maintenance of Physical Plant with expertise in the electrical or other trade (Required)
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a hospital physical plant (Required)
- Previous supervisory/management with building maintenance experience (Required)
- Understanding of NFPA 99, 110 Life Safety and The Joint Commission codes and standards (Preferred)
