Pennsylvania Hospital is searching for a PRN vascular tech to join their growing team!

The Vascular Technologist provides high quality vascular studies in the vascular laboratory including all services that the department provides, to ensure patient health, safety, and well-being. Accurate analysis and evaluation of all studies will be provided to interpreting physician for review.

The incumbent will provide high quality vascular imaging studies, including all services that the department provides, to ensure patient health, safety, and well-being. Studies are performed across multiple settings including inpatient hospital and outpatient practices. On call is not required for this role. Accurate analysis and evaluation of all studies will be provided to interpreting physician for review. Will fulfill responsibility to Pennsylvania Hospital by adherence to hospital and department policies and procedures while pursuing goals for professional growth.

Accountabilities • Vascular studies to be performed may include but are not limited to carotid duplex imaging, abdominal aorta ultrasound and PVR-pulse volume recording, upper and lower arterial and venous studies. • Maintain Syngo Dynamics review station and Cupid reporting system and troubleshoot issues with the IT department when required via online IS portal or direct ticket submission to IS 215-662-7474 • Assist with accreditation of vascular laboratory under the IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Committee) • Obtain and maintain all required CME records and keep on file • Attend meetings as required and outlined under the IAC provisions • Adhere to all laboratory policy and procedures of the outpatient sites in accordance with all UPHS and IAC policies and procedures • Provide vascular services within the practice and provide training to students and staff with performance and interpretation of the studies as directed •. Maintain the laboratories in accordance with all UPHS and IAC requirements • Assist the reading physicians during the reading sessions if required specifically to provide technical insight • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Education/Experience: H.S. Diploma/GED required. 1+ years Vascular Sonography -. Associate degree in vascular Technology from an accredited cardiac ultrasound training program preferred. Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications via ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) via CCI or eligible if new graduate required BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association required.

Required Skills and Abilities: Must understand the clinical outcome of information regarding patient care. Understanding of regulatory guidelines. Ability to use skilled techniques and equipment operation to ensure accuracy. Must have visual acuity. Basic computer technology knowledge and skills. Must be capable of in-depth analysis of all exams performed. Should understand the clinical outcome of information regarding patient care.
