Summary: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
The Financial Services Representative (FSR) provides financial services that are in the best interest of both the patient and Penn Medicine Princeton Health by evaluating and coordinating the options to ensure a patient’s ability to pay for medical services provided. The position performs a variety of functions including determining benefit coverage and patient responsibility, arranging methods of payment or to recover outstanding balances. The FSR serves as the in-house expert on insurance coverage and patient advocate for coverage of their care, responds to inquiries, resolves problems and interacts with third party payers and/or patients to achieve payment for services and does so with a strong patient/customer focus that assists in exceeding patient satisfaction. The FSR is also responsible for working and maintaining all billing related work queues. The FSR also services as the expert and working third party denials and self-pay denials from third party payors and identify trends and solutions to getting reimbursed for services provided.
Responsibilities:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent Work Exp required
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Related Work Experience:
At least two (2) years' related work experience
