The Division of Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy, Department of Radiology is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) with experience or eagerness for complex medical management to join their team primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
This position is full time.
Responsibilities:
Join us in caring for patients with complex medical diseases and malignancies. This position is primarily in our outpatient care units using therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive drugs) to treat cancer. This Advanced Practice Provider will work with the elite team of physicians treating cancer patients with radiopharmaceuticals, including some patients on clinical trials. On the team, you will collaborate with physicians, palliative care specialists, referring clinicians and nurses in the care of this special patient population. Most patients are seen and treated in the outpatient setting but inpatient treatment is performed in a small number of cases. Care will be provided for patients referred to consider radiopharmaceutical therapy, undergoing complications related to advanced disease or treatment, as well as in the follow up of patients. Utilize your education and experience to maximize precision medicine care in this exciting, fast-paced environment. Advanced Practitioner will be encouraged to participate in quality improvement projects, grow and exemplify evidence-based care.
The Advanced Practice Provider also participates in research as appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance, documentation of care according to standards, and prescribe in accordance with the collaborative agreement and State regulations.
The qualified candidate must be an Acute Care Physician Assistant, current licensure or eligibility in the Commonwealth of PA and eligibility for credentialing by the medical board. Oncology experience is preferred.
Credentials:
Experience in oncology (Preferred)
Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams highly valued
